Since many people in the Community have reported the same problem I have had (that is, works once, then requires computer reboot to work again in both PSE 2021 and PSE 2022), it seems to me that a fix should come from Adobe. If I uninstall and reinstall everything, will the catalog disappear as well even if I save the preferences? If I save a catalog, will it kee the proper connections? In any case, if past experience means anything, this almost seems like a corrupt preferences file is acting up. It took me months to fix the connection problems. I am hesitant to uninstall both Organizer and Editor (i.e., the whole suite) because the last time I had to do that when moving from PSE 2019 in High Sierra to PSE 2021 in Big Sur, I lost the connections between hundreds of edited photos and their originals and gothundreds of incorrect connections when I tried to repair the catalog (maybe because several cameras over the years put identical photo names on pictures taken years apart).
